The decision — which came just over two years after the April 15, 2013, bombing that killed three people and wounded more than 260 —is thought to have brought relief and grim satisfaction to many in Boston.
“We can breathe again,” said Karen Brassard, who suffered shrapnel wounds on her legs.
While understandable is the desire to inject poison into this mans veins and kill him.
Others desire to watch him writhe in agony with a slow painful death.
I am sure that most of us would desire revenge or justice if one of our loved ones were killed or maimed by this man.
But what does that accomplish ?
Will his death actually deter others from acts of terrorism or mass killings ?
Or will his death have the opposite effect on the population he supposes to represent ?
His “martyrdom” as they say, may actually have the desired effect and result in others being emboldened to attack America and Western Countries.
But I think at the core of this story lies the question.
Why do people feel the need to kill in the first place ?
How can we bring about change that will allow everyone to live with the dignity and respect that we all deserve ?
For Countries and their leaders
to command respect, they must earn respect. And work hard to keep that respect.
And to earn respect we must keep our word !
We must, under every circumstance follow through with our promises. And treat the people we encounter with the respect we would wish for ourselves.
And we must allow others to take the lead role from time to time so that they may make their own mistakes and craft their own solutions for their challenges and build their National self reliance.
It does a Country no good to look good on the outside, if it’s rotting away on the inside.
We all desire Peace and Happiness therefore we must all strive to be all inclusive and conduct ourselves with an open mind and tolerance for every culture and point of view, and have respect for and have a desire to understand and learn from every religion, free from the hate that enslaves us.
A hate that was baptized in the waters of racism and nurtured at the bosom of ignorance.
Let us all hold out the hand of friendship, and put down the hand with a gun.
Peace
